 Currently, I am an investor in startup technology companies.

I was the Founder and Former President of, which after raising more than $8 million in venture capital went public in Nov 2006 on the Toronto Stock Exchange raising more than $30 million (TSX: H) and was later acquired by Deluxe Corp (NYSE:DLX) for $122 million in June 2008. Hostopia was a pioneer of the "Software as a Service" model (SaaS) and recipient of numerous awards during my tenure including: Deloitte&Touche Fast500 (2006), INC500 (2005), South Florida Business Journal's Top Internet Based Business (2005), #1 on Profit Magazine's Fastest Growing Companies (2005), in addition to many others.

The Hostopia platform has generated hundreds of millions of dollars of recurring revenue for its wholesale channel partners and it established itself as the number one company in the world in its niche. Clients include some of the largest companies in their industry including: British Telecom, Verizon, Bell Canada, Telus,, Covad, Rogers Cable, and many, many others.

Prior to founding Hostopia in 1999, I had an extremely successful sales career spanning 10 years in a variety of different companies and industries including Parametric Technology Corp., Tandberg Inc., ADP Claims Solutions Group, and others. In addition, I have won many sales awards including President's Club with ADP.

Franc’s expertise is in the technology and software industries and he loves the startup environment. Franc has previously held series 7, 31, and 66 licenses as a Vice President with Bernstein Global Wealth Management and has a wide range of operational and sales experience spanning a variety of industries.


Currently Franc is former Board Member of the NEW WORLD ANGELS, a founding member of the Miami Innovation Fund and Board Member, a previous Strategic Board Mentor with Incubate Miami, and previously he volunteered his time as a member of the Executive Board of MIT Enterprise Forum for South Florida. As a consultant, he has advised numerous startups on how to raise capital and better structure their Marketing and Sales efforts.
